my sisters are redoing the upstairs bathroom. and by sisters, i mean my mom is actually redoing it. and by my sisters reodoing the bathroom, i mean, they are picking out really terrible colors and decor like pink and paris crap.

if i had my say, which i don't, hence i live with 3 women. i would do the bathroom in this:

harry potter wands. even though it's not a wallpaper, i would for sure try to make it happen if the girls would let me rewallpaper the bathroom.

until then, when harry potter wallpaper is available. it will just have to suffice as iphone wallpaper.

critter socks for target

like everything other trip to target, you walk out of the store with more than you need and some things you wanted. i needed some magazines for a work project and i walked out with colored pencils, 2 pairs of socks, a bottle of wine and a couple of magazines. sounded like a lonely night for an elementary teacher with a bad week. i know, right? but it was just the perfect mix for a visual display project needing some inspiration.

furthermore, i love critter print anything. sometimes subtle, sometimes just in your face. maybe it's the allure of the preppy/southern lifestyle, where the critter detailing make things a little more interesting.
rugby (ties & socks) and vineyard vines love critters, and you know who else does?

i'll probably go back, buy a couple more, hide them in my dresser drawer & make them a surprise in a couple of months. or last minute gift idea. because everybody loves a good skull & crossbones.

if you like americana country-rock, the decemberist's new album, "the king is dead" is a steal for you today. it's $3.99 on amazon. what's up good deal. it's a little tom petty, which isn't a bad thing. however, it's definitely different from the hazards of love.

"june hymn" & "rise to me" are my favorites.
