that's what i wrote on andy & linds' wedding guestbook. i never realized that till the night after ya'll got back from your honeymoon. it's true. i never really wanted a best friend (or multiple of them for that matter.) but that's what happened anyway. that's what God had in store.

andy was one of the first people i met at mizzou. i didn't like him. nope, not at all. we went on our first man-date & i told him everything that would deter him from me. somehow, it didn't work. i was a hot mess, for sure. yet somehow, he managed to put up not only with me, yet also patrick, AND both of us at the same time. :) (who is also a hot mess too)
so here's to you andy. you dog, you. all of those hours (literally hours) each day spent at our kitchen table drinking coffee, tea, & anything that i could convince you to drink at 11am. meeting me at a.p. green chapel & speaking truth into my life- that changed the course i was on, forever. here's to you andy for accompanying the gang to the drag show so i could get a 104% in my class for extra credit. for the one time i almost went to l'abri but my appendix blew. to thwarting patrick & you laughing. to the time you convinced/invited me (haha) to go to jamaica, & i did, and i loved it. to going green because jesus is doing it. those 2 weeks when the girlfriends were out of town & we retreated to diablo 2 camp while listening to the lord of the rings soundtrack on repeat. the list goes on.
& i look forward to the list going on. & on. you truly model what it means to be following the Lord with every inch of your life, seeking his name in all aspects and areas of life. + you made it okay for me to dabble in nerdom.
