the company they kept: writers on unforgettable friendships by silvers & epstein

i'm going to be honest. i bought the book because of it's cover. i never considered myself a literary connoisseur, but more of a lover of words. writers writing about friendships with writers, sounds like a bromance to me. i took enough english & literature courses in college that should have merited me at least an english minor. alas, i did not.
